STUDY IN HUNGARY!

with the GLOBAL TALENT PROGRAMME

what is the global talent programme?

The Global Talent student recruitment and support programme, which has been operating since 2016 as part of the Foundation For Africa, aims to recruit talented African students to Hungarian higher education institutions, thereby contributing to knowledge transfer and cooperation between Africa and Europe in the field of education.

Global Talent is a full-service programme that not only recruits students, but also assists and prepares them for university admission from the outset, helps with visas and other travel logistics and, thanks to our presence in Hungary, our team here welcomes students and helps them integrate.

In addition to student mobility, we focus on teacher mobility and linking Hungarian universities and other educational establishments with African partners.

What is the long-term vision of the GT programme?

The vision of the GT programme is to support talented African students during their scholarship or self-financed studies in Hungary. The GT programme contributes in the long term to the development and strengthening of multi-sectoral bilateral relations between Hungary and Africa, particularly in the scientific, diplomatic, cultural, tourist and economic fields, through the dynamic transfer of knowledge, exchanges and mobility of stakeholders.

Specific goals of the GT programme:

  1. Supporting talented African students in their higher education studies in Hungary: promoting Global Talent students during the selection and recruitment process, throughout their studies and right up to their entry into the job market.
  2. Development of the Foundation for Africa’s support programme for orphans and deminus students: after 10 years of support for nursery, primary and secondary schools, it has been decided to extend the programme to higher education (exchange of students and teachers, micro-scholarship schemes for needy students in Africa and abroad, etc.).
  3. Long-term cooperation between certain African countries, notably the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Hungary: the programme is one of the key elements in the development of multi-sectoral relations (educational, diplomatic, economic, tourist, cultural) between the two countries.
  4. Scientific partnership: bilateral transfer of knowledge, cooperation between educational establishments, organisation of conferences, support with scientific materials for education.
